Among the latest episodes, Battlefield 1 is one of the most impressive in the saga. It takes us back to the difficult times of the First World War and presents the conflict with a spectacular natural setting that is as wild as it is striking. The campaign mode tells six different stories set in locations ranging from France to the Arabian Peninsula.

Multiplayer modes are numerous and varied, and the arsenal of weapons is vast. You can fight with the classic firearms of the time, as well as using various bladed weapons, and even a flamethrower! Interestingly, as well as being able to go in tanks or biplanes, you can ride and fight on the back of a horse. It leaves no one indifferent!

Hell Let Loose

In Hell Let Loose, you’ll have a unique experience in the role of a soldier in the middle of the Second World War. The game is fairly detailed in terms of both weapons and maps. The learning curve is a little steep and requires practice, but it’s always exciting and challenging.

If you like online war games and have a decent PC, Hell Let Loose has the ingredients for many hours of combat on foot, with guns and even tanks.

World of Tanks

Are you an absolute fan of tanks? Don’t hesitate to play World of Tanks, which is also free! The game contains hundreds of different tank models from a wide range of countries. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a video game reboot that takes much of what made the Modern Warfare sub-saga great. If you’re looking for a war game set in the current era, Modern Warfare will keep you entertained for dozens of hours between the campaign and its multiplayer.

Warzone is a Battle Royale of epic proportions, taking full advantage of the franchise’s solid gameplay. The main mode pits you against 149 other players, and you’ll all be on a huge battlefield full of dangers. Because of the number of players per match, the action is constant. If you die, it’s not the end of the game. The Gulag gives you another chance!

Squad

Fans of tactical warfare and teamwork are in luck. Squad, which was originally a Battlefield 2 mod, combines elements of realism with simple but hard-to-master mechanics. It’s a more accessible kind of Weapon 3. It has a fairly effective and interesting radio system, and realistic weapons, and each game presents an intense challenge. Mistakes are unforgivable!

By the way, if you like large-scale battles, Squad includes a 50 vs. 50-player mode.

Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway

The third installment of Brothers in Arms tells the story of a division’s mission, already in the final years of the Second World War. Hell’s Highway is a more personal and emotional war game than the others, in which we have closer contact with the characters.

The campaign combines a powerful narrative with good gameplay, drawing on the FPS genre and tactical strategy. A unique game you should try! Don’t hesitate to try out other Brothers in Arms, as they generally make few demands.

Commandos 2: Men of Courage

In strategy games, Commandos 2 is a unique game in which you manipulate just a few characters. Battlefield Bad Company 2

Compared with Battlefield 1, it’s not as varied a delivery in terms of multiplayer modes. However, it does make fewer demands, and is still incredible in every respect!

Door Kickers 2: Task Force Nord

Door Kickers 2: Task Force North is a tactical strategy game. The game presents you with a series of short missions that you must execute perfectly. It gives you total freedom to move your soldiers and plan moves or actions, and you can even destroy most walls. Of course, you have to be careful: in this game, you’ll find deadly traps!

If you’re short on RAM (Door Kickers 2 requires 4GB), you can try out the first Door Kickers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty’s Black Ops sub-saga has received rave reviews, especially the first part. It allows us to witness events that took place during the Cold War and the Vietnam War, in connection with CIA covert operations. It takes us to remote locations in Siberia, Kazakhstan, and Cuba, among others.

In case you’re looking for a war game to play solo, Black Ops is an excellent FPS! Its story will keep you glued to the screen, it’s a game that doesn’t require much power, has addictive gameplay, and is entertaining like few others. If you know several friends who play it, don’t hesitate to give multiplayer a try!

Other Call of Duty games that require few requirements are Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or Call of Duty Warchest, which includes the first two Call of Duty games plus Call of Duty: United Offensive.

Spec Ops: The Line

Spec Ops: The Line is one of those games totally focused on telling a story. Arma 3

If you’re looking for realism in a war game, look no further and get Arma 3. In fact, get yourself a good group of players to play Arma 3, as it’s much more enjoyable in company than on its own. The game offers you different situations that, to solve, you need to communicate and coordinate with others.

When we say that Arma 3 is a realistic game, we mean it in all seriousness. The behavior of vehicles and weapons is completely faithful to reality, and one wrong move can leave you out of the mission. No mission should be taken lightly! In addition to the core content, Arma 3 has a fair amount of mods that enrich the experience.

You want a similar game with few requirements! Get your hands on Arma 2!

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam

Each person has his or her own skills and characteristics, important details for knowing how to manage the group and increase the chances of survival. Challenging and very good!

World of Warships

If, on the other hand, what you like are warships, there’s nothing like World of Warships. The premise is similar to that of World of Tanks since, in fact, both games are owned by the same company. You can fight other players in intense battles, using ships inspired by real 20th-century models.

Connoisseurs of WWI and WWII maritime military history will undoubtedly recognize the hundreds of ships belonging to countries from all over the world. But don’t get too distracted, or they’ll sink yours!

Verdun

Verdun is the first game in a series depicting infantry combat during the First World War. It is realistic, particularly in its depiction of weapons and their behavior. It’s the best depiction of the time! Being a conflict in which there was a heavy reliance on numerical superiority and individual ability, the mechanics support this premise.

The game places you squarely in the middle of the action, emphasizing cooperation. Verdun rewards and emphasizes good teamwork. The title is set on the Western Front in 1916, with maps based in France and Belgium.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon

Total War: Empire

Total War is a saga known the world over and loved by strategy fans. Of all the deliveries, we chose Empire for being one of the closest to modern times, although Napoleon is very good too!

Total War: Empire (formerly Empire: Total War) plunges you completely into the 18th century era. The playable mechanics encompass aspects such as real-time battles and political, economic and religious management. The goal is simple: to conquer. However, achieving this goal is not easy; you must strive to win every battle!

The rest of the Total War saga is just as excellent and fully recommended, although most of them are far removed from modern times.

War Thunder

Of everything it offers, land, air, and sea combat are the icing on War Thunder’s cake. It provides a good repertoire of vehicles based on those of World War II to contemporary conflicts such as the war in Iraq. It’s a 3-in-1, complete experience that you can enjoy both offline and online.

War Thunder contains different game modes to suit those looking for something other than an arcade, even those who prefer a realistic simulation experience.

Men of War: Assault Squad 2

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is a strategy game very similar to Company of Heroes 2, which makes it a good option if you’re so inclined. As alternatives that require few requirements, it Men of War and Men of War: Assault Squad are other great moments in the saga.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad

In any case, if you’re looking for a game in the same saga but for PCs with few requirements, don’t hesitate to try IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946.

Hearts of Iron IV

If you feel like it, play Hearts of Iron III, and Hearts of Iron 2 are finished. They’re less demanding!

Sniper Elite 4
